The Shopify store self-audit checklist

Most store audits are sold as a mysterious, expensive thing only an agency can do. A good chunk of it isn't — it's going through your own store the way a stranger would, with a list in hand so you don't talk yourself out of the obvious problems. This is that list. Go through it in order, on a phone and a laptop, logged out of your own admin so you see what a real visitor sees.

Budget 30–45 minutes. Fix what you can immediately; write down the rest.

1. First impression (homepage, 5 seconds)

2. Navigation

3. Product pages

4. Trust and policies

5. Checkout

6. Speed and mobile

7. The stuff nobody checks

That last one is worth doing before anything else on this list, because it's the only line item that shows you the store the way an actual stranger experiences it — not the way you've trained yourself to see it after months of staring at it.

Rather have someone else run this list against your store? Send it in for a free roast — we go through the homepage and a couple of product pages and tell you bluntly what's actually costing you sales, emailed back same-day. Free right now, no card needed. If you want every product page gone through with rewrites and a prioritized fix list, there's a €29 one-time Full Audit too — but the free version stands on its own.
